I received the best surprise this morning!  I got a beautiful pink azalea plant as a random act of kindness.  The letters and numbers on the card are OH21.  I’m from Warren, Michigan.  I’m excited to participate in your kindness project. Thanks for undertaking this awesome project!

(OZ20) Saturday March 9th William accompanied his brother Matthew and his father Mike to help set-up for Pack 102's Blue and Gold Banquet. I am a leader in that pack and was also there to help. William came up to me and asked, "Nonna is there anything a sibling can do to help?" He and I set up the centerpieces on all the tables. He very carefully arranged all of the blue and gold scouting cut-outs around the centerpieces. Then he went and helped put out the utensils at all the tables with me. I recently had foot surgery and I am wearing a large boot on my foot. It was really helpful to have William place all the small cut-outs on the table as mobility is still a problem for me. There were 20 tables.My name is Judi. I live in Commerce Township, Michigan.

I recieved a pay it forward card from my daughter yesterday.  While visiting her, she gave me a gift of a quality camera that far exceeds the camera I currently own.  I was wanting to buy a new camera for the last few years and never took the plunge.  I live in Mason, Michigan (1B14)

I received a care package in the mail yesterday.  It included items for the outreach project I am involved with and a wrapped present for me personally. It was a nice surprise and made my day.  Sugar Grove, IL

When I read the attached card I was not surprised to see our favorite Loon Lake teacher’s name. I look forward to passing an act of kindness to another. I received a lovely note and picture from Maddie S. last weekend. In addition to the note she made me a friendship bookmark, which has really helped me keep my place in my law books. Having moved to Phoenix in August, it is really nice to know that my sweet niece Maddie still thinks of me. I am going to try to continue the chain, and pass along her card. Phoenix, Arizona (1D19)

We were recently in receipt of a random act of kindess as a result of your school's project. 

To pay it forward, our family decided that even though we aren't able to attend an upcoming fundraiser that our friend is organizing for a local family going through an extremely difficult time, that we would send our friend a donation for the family, along with your "Pay It Forward" card.

1DO  A stranger came and sat down in my booth at Doc's restaurant in Livonia Michigan and bought me a small beer.  It sort of made my day.  I live in Tucson AZ and thought of this gift coming out of the blue as a definite act of kindness.  I will try to do the same with one of the teachers at the school where I work.

Second Grade Responses:

A random act of kindness was actually done for my mother June Spencer in Wixom Michigan. What a wonderful surprise it was for her to find a beautiful plant on her porch!  Someone incredibly special brightened her day by ringing her bell and left a tulip plant on her porch.  It brightened her day and was a wonderful surprise.  Thanks so much and she already passed an act of kindness on. Our company Raymond Excavating’s office staff has received an act of kindness today.  We were brought breakfast this morning from an outside vendor.  Our office is in Marysville, MI.  That is just south of the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron.  Our code is 4N21.

We received (not just once, but multiple times) an act of kindness from Bailey M. She is an animal love and on multiple occasions while we're working, she comes over and takes our dog (Shooter) for a walk or just over over house. She is Shooter's best friend. Shooter loves Bailey and we greatly appreciate the loving attention she gives to him. Wixom, MI (T16)
BTW - this is an excellent idea. An act of kindness should come naturally to all of us and we should practice everyday. We will forward this on!
Ethan and Brennan visited Camp Lael in Lapeer over the weekend and were so helpful. Not sure where to begin. Let's start in the kitchen! They helped prepare and serve breakfast and lunch for the campers without even being asked! They also helped out in the camp store with the money end of things and did a great job. They would walk around and pick up after the Jr. and Sr. High Campers! Way to set an example!!! Can't wait for them to come to camp this summer. Keep up the great job guys!

This week’s trait is responsibility in the bathroom. Being responsible means being accountable for your choices. 

Being Respectful in the Bathrooms

When you wash your hands, make sure the water isn’t turned on full blast so that water is splashing all over the sink or floor.  If you make a mess:  water on floor or mirror or soap on floor please wipe it up.  Messy bathrooms are not rooms that people wish to use! 

Being Respectful in the Bathrooms

Being respectful in the bathroom means that you also help take care of it.  Making sure to flush the toilet after using it is a common courtesy. If you drop toilet paper, make sure pick it up and dispose of it.  No one likes to use a stall that is a mess. Be respectful of others. 

Being Respectful in the Bathrooms

Bathrooms stalls were created for privacy.  Gang bathrooms allow a small group of people to use the toilets at the same time, rather than having people wait.   Respecting others’ privacy means that you go into the bathroom, enter and lock the stall, take care of your own business, exit, wash and dry your hands and leave. Staying in the bathroom and chatting or looking into stalls-through the door or over the wall are not being respectful of other people’s privacy.
