Being Respectful in the Cafeteria

Respect in the cafeteria includes the hallway before and after eating.  Walking quietly to the cafeteria, hanging up belongings and quietly taking a seat at the designated table is respectful.  Respectfulness in the hot lunch line includes saying, “Please,” and “Thank you” to other people. Respectful students leave the cafeteria QUIETLY and quickly slip into their outdoor clothing.  These students also whisper to their friends or remain silent ALL the way to the outside so as not to disturb other Loon Lake students. Disrespectful behaviors include running and pushing out of the cafeteria doors; talking loudly and yelling to friends while dressing; dropping other students’ coats and leaving them on the floor; running and yelling in the hallway all the way until the playground.  True character means making the right choice even when it is easier to choose the other and no one of authority is around. What choice will you make today?
